Ishita Date

Co-President

Ishita is a Wharton MBA 2027 candidate focused on the intersection of industrial technology, climate, finance, and strategy. Before Wharton, Ishita spent five years at Deloitte Consulting's Strategy & Analytics practice, working across manufacturing, energy transition, AI, and decarbonization strategy. At Wharton, she was a Kleinman Fellow at the Philadelphia Energy Authority and a Commercial and Finance Intern at CREW Carbon, a Series A carbon dioxide removal (CDR) startup. She holds a BS in Industrial Engineering with a minor in Artificial Intelligence from Georgia Tech, where she graduated summa cum laude.

Janna Jiang

Co-President

Janna is a Wharton MBA 2027 candidate. Prior to Wharton, she was a senior manager on the Strategy team for Rubicon Carbon, a TPG Rise-backed startup providing vertically integrated services & project financing for the carbon markets, and previously worked at McKinsey. At Wharton, Janna has interned in VC through National Grid Partners, the CVC arm of National Grid (one of the world's largest utilities), and Pulse Fund, a climate fund based in LA. She holds a BSc. in Computer Science & Economics from Brown University.

Shivali Minocha

Co-President

Shivali is a Wharton MBA 2027 candidate focused on renewable energy and sustainability. Prior to Wharton, Shivali worked at Deloitte in the Government & Public Services practice focused on state and local governments, digital transformation, and climate resilience strategy. This summer, she interned at NextEra on the Corporate Development Strategic Projects team. Shivali holds a BS in Statistics & Data Science and Psychology from Yale University.

Ambra Bisagni

VP, Marketing and Communications

Ambra is a Master of Environmental Studies candidate at the University of Pennsylvania, concentrating in Environmental Policy. Her work focuses on energy and environmental policy, with a particular interest in the energy and resource impacts of AI and data center growth. She holds a BA in Political Science and Environmental Studies from the University of Toronto.

Akshat Singh

Akshat is a Wharton MBA 2027 candidate. Prior to Wharton, he worked at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), advising government stakeholders on energy, infrastructure, and critical minerals. This summer, he interned in investment banking at CIBC on the Energy, Infrastructure and Transition team. Akshat holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Politics from Columbia University and Sciences Po.

Andrew Herbst

Andrew is a Co-Chair for the 2025 Wharton Energy & Climate Conference. While at Wharton, he pursued energy and industrial tech investing at Energize Capital and led go-to-market for a startup selling to developer and utility customers. Prior to Wharton, Andrew invested in software and services businesses at Charlesbank Capital Partners and advised companies and sponsors at LEK Consulting. He has a BBA in Finance with a second major in the Program of Liberal Studies from the University of Notre Dame.

Isabel Shaw

Isabel is a Co-Chair for the 2026 Wharton Energy & Climate Conference and hosts and produces The Wharton Current podcast. This summer she interned on J.P. Morgan's Power & Renewables investment banking team. Before Wharton, she spent five years on the Stewardship team at Goldman Sachs Asset Management in New York and London, where she supported ESG integration, led engagements with portfolio companies on climate risk, and voted proxies across equity portfolios. She holds a BA in Behavioral Decision Sciences from Brown University.

Abhishek Bose

Abhishek is a Wharton MBA 2027 candidate interested in the intersection of investing, technology, and energy transition. Prior to Wharton, he spent four years at Bain & Company in Dubai, where he advised governments and leading industrial and energy companies on growth strategy, M&A, clean technology, and decarbonization. At Wharton, he has interned in Goldman Sachs and serves on the boards of the Energy and Sustainable Business Clubs. Earlier in his career, Abhishek worked at Tesla focused on rollout for the Model Y in Europe. He holds an MS in Technology and Policy from MIT, where he was a Chevron Energy Fellow and conducted research on energy supply chains and decarbonization, as well as bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur.

Igor Vladimirov

VP, Professional Development

Igor is a U.S. Navy veteran, Civil Engineer Corps officer, and diving officer with more than 10 years of experience leading engineering, infrastructure, utilities, and underwater construction projects. He holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy, an M.S. in Ocean Engineering from the University of New Hampshire, and is a licensed Professional Engineer. He is currently pursuing an MBA at the Wharton School, majoring in Business, Energy, Environment and Sustainability (BEES) and Finance, and recently completed a summer internship with NextEra Energy's Power Generation Division.

Marianna Rodriguez

Marianna is a Wharton MBA 2027 candidate focused on Finance and Business, Energy, Environment & Sustainability. Prior to Wharton, she worked at Goldman Sachs in Commodity Institutional Sales, advising institutional investors and executing strategies across energy, power, metals, and agricultural markets, with particular exposure to themes including renewables, battery metals, uranium, and the evolving power needs of AI and data centers. She began her career at J.P. Morgan in Prime Brokerage, working with hedge funds and other institutional clients. This summer, she interned in investment banking at Santander within the Consumer & Retail team. Marianna holds a BA in Economics, cum laude, from Williams College.

Aniketh Rao

Iris Ryu

Iris is a Wharton MBA 2027 candidate. Prior to Wharton, she worked across climate investing, energy demand modeling, regional development and infrastructure at the Global Green Growth Institute, the OECD, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). At Wharton, she interned in investment banking at BNP Paribas, working on M&A within the Low Carbon Transition & Infrastructure group. Sheena Ma

Sheena is a Wharton MBA 2027 candidate focused on finance, energy, and sustainability. Before Wharton, Sheena worked at HSBC and Credit Suisse as a foreign exchange option trader. Outside of work, she spent time volunteering for a community solar developer in London, the municipal composting initiative in NYC, and a regenerative farm in Hawaii. At Wharton, Sheena has interned for the Power, Utilities, and Renewable banking team at Bank of America. She holds a BEng in Civil Engineering at Duke University.

Chris Nottingham

Chris is a Wharton MBA 2027 candidate. Before Wharton, he worked in strategy consulting at Charles River Associates, before joining the Peace Corps' Economic Empowerment Program in Namibia. Isabel Sjodin

Isabel is a Wharton MBA 2027 candidate interested in the intersection of energy, infrastructure, and the built environment, particularly related to grid infrastructure. Prior to Wharton, she was a Senior Associate Consultant at Bain & Company, where she advised Fortune 500 and private equity clients across energy and industrials. She is also passionate about early-stage industrials ventures and has worked with startups like Riven Systems. Isabel holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Rice University.

Kenneth Xu

Kenneth Xu is a second-year MBA student at Wharton and is also pursuing a Certificate in Law at Penn Carey. He has experience across both private and public equity, primarily through his work at Nuveen, as well as more recently with Neuberger Berman and TowerBrook Capital Partners — focused on thematic investing in areas such as energy transition and resource efficiency. Kenneth holds a BA from Yale University, where he double majored in Economics and Environmental Studies.

Sarah Varghese

Sarah is a Wharton MBA 2027 candidate majoring in Business, Energy, Environment, and Sustainability. Prior to Wharton, she worked at MiddleGround Capital, an industrials-focused middle market private equity firm, where she supported the underwriting of multiple investments in the utility-scale solar supply chain. This past summer, she interned with Sandbrook Capital, a private equity firm investing in infrastructure services supporting the renewables power value chain. She holds a M.A. in Finance from Claremont McKenna and a B.S. in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Southern California.

Nicolas Hue

Nicolas Hue is an MBA candidate at The Wharton School and a Master’s candidate at The Lauder Institute of the University of Pennsylvania, graduating in the Class of 2027.Nicolas focuses on the intersection of global finance, resource management, and community development. Trish Razunguzwa

Trish is a Wharton MBA 2027 candidate focused on climate finance and impact investing.  Prior to Wharton, she spent four years at BCG, advising clients including state governments, global philanthropies, industrial clients, and private capital clients on the clean energy transition, social impact, and circular economy, most recently as a Project Leader. Trish spent he summer as an ICM Mosaic Fellow with Closed Loop Private Equity, Closed Loop Partners' buyout private equity group. She was responsible for thesis generation, deal flow, pipeline development, execution and due diligence.

Connor Woods

Connor Woods is a second-year MBA majoring in Finance, Entrepreneurship, and Energy & Sustainability. Prior to Wharton, Connor spent 5 years across asset management and private investing in the software industry before attending Wharton to pivot into the clean energy sector. This past summer, he worked in corporate development for Nano Nuclear, an advanced microreactor developer and fuel technology company. Outside of work, he enjoys biking along the Schuylkill River and spending time in the park with his partner, Sarah, and dog, Winston.

Chanel Shum

Sade Bamimore

Sade is an MBA candidate at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Sade has been recognized as a World Economic Forum Global Shaper, a GreenBiz Emerging Leader, and a highly commended Rising Star award winner. Sade enjoys immersive travel and learning about sustainability on a global scale. She has developed a broadened scope on what it means to live and act within planetary boundaries through her studies of Sustainable Development and Environmental Science in Denmark, Sweden, Costa Rica, Chile, and Peru. Sade earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and a Certificate in Human Needs and Global Resources from Wheaton College.
